Global Head of the Financial Shared Services Centres operating in Melbourne (Aust) and Glasgow (UK). Responsible for over 200 people in this role.
Led the development of a world class Finance Shared Services Function by ensuring that best practice was transferred throughout the Group.
Delivery of NAB's Statutory Accounts, Regulatory and Management Reporting in an accurate, timely and transparent manner in order to meet the diverse needs of external and internal users of the information.
Proactively examined opportunities to generate cost efficiencies including outsourcing or offshoring certain Finance functions to India.
Led, developed and promoted a rolling change program for the transformation of NAB's Finance Function (involving approx. 1200 people) to align with global best practice.

The Team identified $150m in cost savings across the five global support areas as part of a Group-wide cost review.
Responsible for Basel II Validation planning and implementation including Probability of Default (PD), Loss Given Default (LGD) and Exposure at Default (EAD) components.
Led a dedicated Validation Team of Quantitative Analysts.
CRPM Representive on NAB's IFRS Project, Provisioning Stream
Also involved in Asset Quality Review and determination of Single Large Exposure (SLE) appetite modelling for large Group customers.
Implementation Project following a KPMG Review of NAB's existing credit structure, policies and processes.
As a result, a new structure for NAB Credit Risk Management globally was determined and implemented. This involved the establishment of Credit Teams by specialist category and the establishment of Credit Teams in the UK. Credit roles in the new structure were aligned with corresponding roles in NAB Business Teams. All relevant Credit policies and practices were reviewed, agreed by Credit and Business and amended as necessary.
I also carried out a number of follow-on Credit reviews after the completion of this Implementation Program and worked on some Portfolio Management issues during this time.

I started in 1987 as a Senior Manager then Associate Director in NACAL's predecessor, the M&A Division of First National Limited.
When NACAL was formed in 1990, I became one of four Executive Directors. In 1992, after an internal NAB restructure, I became CEO of NACAL.
In this newly-established position, I was given responsibility for all financial aspects of this dynamic and rapidly-evolving Australian-owned pharmaceutical company.
I developed the global treasury operation and became a Committee Member of the Australian Society of Treasurers, chairing a Foreign Exchange Seminar in Adelaide.
I was responsible for around twenty domestic and offshore banking relationships.
Also had responsibility for execution of strategic aquisitions in Australia and USA, corporate restructuring and the divestment of a non-core business. Also joined the Board of certain Faulding subsidiary companies.
Adsteam was one of Australia's most acquisitive and diversified companies and this role required the resolution of a number of complex financial, taxation and accounting issues.
Together with a small Head Office Team, I was responsible for the delivery of Parent Company & certain Adsteam Group financials.
I was also Office Manager and had responsibility for the administration of the Company's Super Fund. I also assisted in executing the financing of some major corporate acquisitions during this time.
Responsible for the audit of a range of clients, including both large and small industrial companies, financial institutions and various other professional, education and not for profit organisations.
In addition, I completed a number of taxation, corporate insolvency and management services assignments.
